DENVER— Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, is alerting customers who started their plan enrollments or made changes by yesterday’s deadline, January 15, that they have through Wednesday, January 17 at 6:00 p.m. to finish their enrollment. These customers must call Connect for Health Colorado’s Customer Service Center at 855-752-6749 to complete their enrollment.
Biggest Open Enrollment Yet for Colorado’s Exchange
Less than two weeks left in the enrollment period for 2024 health coverage
DENVER— Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, reports that 222,067 people have enrolled in a 2024 health insurance plan as of January 4th. This number of sign-ups not only surpasses the same-day comparison to last year (189,010 enrollments), but also last year’s end of Open Enrollment total (201,758 enrollments).
On a year over year basis, 222K represents a 17.5% increase over a year ago and a 10.1% increase over last year's final tally...with 10 days left for people to enroll.
Connect for Health Colorado continues to set new enrollment records.
DENVER— Today is Get Covered Colorado Day. This day of action was created to encourage as many Coloradans as possible to enroll in 2024 health coverage during the annual Open Enrollment Period. Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, reports that in the first five weeks of Open Enrollment, 184,240 residents have enrolled in a health insurance plan. This is 29 percent ahead of the same day last year.
First Two Weeks of Open Enrollment Spell Early Success for Colorado’s Health Insurance Marketplace
Sign-ups are 27 percent higher than last year, and more people are qualifying for financial help
DENVER— Open Enrollment for 2024 health insurance coverage started just two weeks ago, and Connect for Health Colorado reports that enrollments are up 27 percent from last year. Currently, more than 36,500 individuals have signed up for a health insurance plan through its marketplace, and 82 percent of those people are qualifying for financial help.
Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, has announced that the maximum number of individuals (11,000) have submitted a Colorado Connect application for 2024 and been found eligible for Silver Enhanced Savings, the financial help for enrollees in the OmniSalud program.
Kevin Patterson, CEO of Connect for Health Colorado, released the following statement:
“We anticipated that we would see significant financial help determinations early in the enrollment period for OmniSalud; the response we saw yesterday and today has exceeded even our very high expectations. I’m truly grateful for and astounded by the response.
We understand people will be disappointed to learn the funding limit has already been reached, and we hope to continue to find ways to expand the program in the future to meet the demand. I want to express my gratitude for the additional spots made available this year as well as the extraordinary work from our enrollment network and community partners.
OmniSalud program will provide $0 premium health plans to 11,000 qualified individuals.
DENVER - The Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), is pleased to announce that for 2024, it will increase the availability of financial assistance for health insurance in the OmniSalud program to 11,000 individuals. This a 10 percent increase from 10,000 individuals in 2023.
OmniSalud allows Coloradans without documentation (including DACA recipients) and who are ineligible for federal subsidies for health insurance, to get health insurance that meets the requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Those who qualify can receive financial help, called SilverEnhanced Savings, to make that insurance more affordable. The OmniSalud program is offered through Colorado Connect, Connect for Health Colorado’s public benefit corporation and online enrollment platform.
More Than 212,000 Coloradans Signed Up for Health Insurance Coverage During Annual Enrollment Period
DENVER – Connect for Health Colorado (the Marketplace) reports that 201,758 Coloradans enrolled in a health insurance plan during the Open Enrollment Period for 2023 coverage. That is an increase of approximately 3,000 plan enrollments above last year’s total.
Approximately 35,000 Coloradans Chose the Colorado Option During the 2023 Open Enrollment
Insurance Commissioner Conway: “We’re working on making this program even better.”
DENVER - As announced by the Governor during his State of the State speech, the preliminary 2023 open enrollment figures for the Colorado Option make it clear that the Coloradans are excited and want the Colorado Option.
As of January 10th, approximately 35,000 people have enrolled in Colorado Option plans - approximately 25,000 through Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance marketplace, and another 10,000 via OmniSalud.
Thousands of Residents Have Used the Marketplace to Enroll in 2023 Health Insurance
DENVER— This Thursday, December 8, is Get Covered Colorado Day. This day of action encourages as many Coloradans as possible to enroll in 2023 health coverage during the annual Open Enrollment Period, which runs through January 15. In the first five weeks of this year’s Open Enrollment, approximately 145,000 residents enrolled in a plan through Colorado’s official health insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado.
Seeing how Connect4HealthCO announced 57.5K enrollees just 6 days ago, it's pretty safe to assume that they didn't have over 87,000 more Coloradans suddenly enroll in less than a week. Presumably the 145K figure includes auto-renewals of the remaining current enrollees who haven't actively signed up for a 2023 policy yet.
DENVER— Since November 1, more than 57,500 people have used Connect for Health Colorado’s marketplace to enroll in a health insurance plan. That’s 7,000 enrollments ahead of the same time period last year. Approximately 78 percent of those who have enrolled so far are qualifying for financial help that reduces the cost of plans.
Connect for Health Colorado’s Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Patterson, released the following statement:
“I’m so pleased that people are getting covered early in the enrollment period and that we’re continuing to see enrollment growth year over year. That tells me that our marketplace is giving people the options they’re looking for, at prices that are within their budget. For those who are waiting to sign up, I urge that you make an appointment with an enrollment specialist and enroll by December 15 to begin the new year with peace of mind.”
