UPDATE: A touch of humor on an otherwise depressing day.

Longtime readers will recall that I have a special place in my heart for former CBS reporter and current Daily Signal shill (and conspiracy theorist) Sharyl Attkisson:

Dear Sharyl Attkisson: Stop it, you're just embarrassing yourself now.

Daily Signal, 06/24/14: Obamacare Exchanges Are ‘Disappointing’ With Fewer Than 4 Million Newly Insured.

(sigh) OK, I saw a reference to this piece of fiction from The Daily Signal (a front for the right-wing Heritage Foundation...you know, the same guys who pretty much created the Affordable Care Act in the first place, but later changed their tune when their own plan was implemented by a Black Democrat) earlier today, but wasn't planning on responding to it since a) I already have addressed pretty much every one of their BS claims as recently as yesterday and b) if I spent the time it took to rebut every piece of feces that comes across my line of sight, I'd likely have a shingles relapse as a result.

However, it looks like this particular piece of poo is sticking to more than a few shoes today, so I'm once again going to resist rolling my eyeballs long enough to take a look at what shade of crayon one Sharyl Attkisson used to write it.

The Not-So-Triumphant Return of Sharyl Attkisson

Last night, Ms. Attkisson tweeted the following:

Interesting. My preventive care dr. appt. used to cost a $25 co-pay. Now, after ACA, it costs me $900. Won't be doing that anymore!

— Sharyl Attkisson (@SharylAttkisson) October 19, 2014

...and that was it.

No other details or follow-up provided in any subsequent tweets, no links to an explanation of this apparently dramatic "'price spike".

Obviously Twitter is rather limiting for detailed explanations, but she provided no additional information regarding how $25 magically turned into $900. She specified a $25 "co-pay". The only clarification she's provided as of this writing is that the $900 wasn't a "co-pay" but a "deductible". So, you know, there's that.

She provides no information about her old policy beyond the co-pay amount, or about her new policy beyond the deductible apparently being at least $900.

I think it's pretty apparent that I don't hold Ms. Attkisson in particularly high esteem...which is why I was somewhat amused to receive this email earlier today:

Organization: Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson

We are interested in doing a story about the state by state rate increases. We are based in Washington DC and would like to talk to you on camera for a 10-15 minute interview. Thanks for your consideration.

Now, I recognize that the moment I posted this invitation publicly, I probably caused the invitation to be revoked, but the last time I trusted a right-wing media outlet to actually report on my data findings accurately, it didn't go so well, so I'm not terribly concerned about that.

Anyway, assuming the invitation isn't revoked, whaddya think? I've appeared on TV once before (for Al Jazeera, of all outlets), and politely turned down FOX News once. Should I go for it or not?

UPDATE: OK, momentary lapse of sanity has passed. No, I think I'll take a rain check.
